Let’s Go! Mcr is a company that organises trips and activities for children aged 8-15. We focus on providing enriching experiences that encourage socialisation, team building and fun.
- Who can participate in Let’s Go! Mcr activities?
Our activities are open to young people aged 8-15. We especially welcome children from home-educating households, and those with neurodivergent conditions.
- What types of activities do you offer?
We offer a range of activities including day trips, outdoor adventures, community gatherings, and educational outings. From exploring nature to visiting cultural attractions, our goal is to create fun, supportive environments for kids to socialise and develop.
- Where are you based?
We live in Whitefield, Manchester but we travel all over the North of England, normally within 90 mins or less.

We have 2 set destinations that we travel to for each trip:
TGI Fridays, Prestwich – M25 3TG and Screwfix, Chorlton – M21 0AZ
- What is the maximum number of participants that you take out?
There are no more than 15 attending each day. There are always 2 adults present with trips of 8 or more attendees.
Booking and Participation
- How do I book a place for my child on a trip?
To book a trip, navigate to the “Trips” section. There, you’ll find information on upcoming events and a link to an online booking form. Be sure to complete it by the deadline, as spaces are limited.
- Is there a cost to participate in trips or activities?
Yes, however we aim to keep our trips as affordable as possible. We are currently in the process of applying for funding to allow us to offer a sliding scale discount, depending on family income. The cost of each trip is available on our booking page.
- What should my child bring on trips?
Your child should bring weather-appropriate clothing, a packed lunch, snacks, water, and any necessary medication or personal items. We will provide specific packing lists for each trip.
- Can my child bring spending money?
Yes of course, but they are responsible for their own money.
- Can my child bring a mobile phone?
Yes , but we prefer it to be kept in their bags and to be used for emergency only (Although it isn’t necessary as we have all emergency contact details if needed).
- What if my child needs the toilet?
We frequently stop to allow attendees to use the bathroom should they need it and there is almost always a toilet at the venues we attend. We have radar keys to ensure we cater for all needs, and attendees are taken to the facilities in small groups.
- What if my child has additional needs?
We accommodate children with a wide range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and sensory processing disorders. Please let us know your child’s specific needs when you book so we can ensure they are supported throughout the trip.
- Can I attend the activities with my child?
Our trips are designed to promote independence, so children typically attend without their parents. However, if your child has specific needs that require a parent’s presence initially, we can discuss this with you on a case-by-case basis.
- Do you offer sibling discounts?
Not at the moment, however this is something we’re looking into. Please get in contact to find out the current status of this.
- Can I claim back the childcare costs ?
Unfortunately not. Ofsted isn’t familiar with the type of childcare we provide, therefore will not register the company.
- What happens if I need to cancel my booking?
If enough notice is given and the place can be filled, then we may be able offer you the chance to transfer the booking to anther date. Tickets are bought in advance for admission to most places and therefore typically no monies can be refunded unless otherwise stated.
Support and Funding
- Can I donate or support Let’s Go! Mcr?
Absolutely! Donations are greatly appreciated and help us provide more activities for the children. You can donate through our website, or contact us if you’re interested in sponsoring a specific event or program. We also welcome volunteers.
Safety and Supervision
- What safety measures are in place during trips?
We prioritise safety on all trips. Our activities are supervised by experienced staff with appropriate ratios of adults to children. Louise is a trained first aider and is present on every trip.
- What should I do if my child has dietary restrictions?
Please inform us of any dietary restrictions during the booking process. We encourage parents to pack a lunch that suits their child’s dietary needs. If we provide food during a trip, we will do our best to accommodate all restrictions.
- How do you handle emergencies during trips?
In case of an emergency, we follow strict protocols. Louise is first aid trained, and we will contact parents immediately if any issues arise. We also ensure that each child’s emergency contact details are readily available during all trips.
